Welcome to the Ralph Angelillo International Drum Festival!

Ralph Angelillo

You know me as co-producer of the Montreal Drum Festival for 21-years. And now, my heartfelt thanks goes out to you for joining me in the creation of a new, International Drum Festival—in my native Quebec City. It was this vibrant cultural scene that nurtured my zeal for drumming and was home base for my first major touring band: The Megatones. When contemplating this town as host of the new festival, all it took was a few steps inside the Palais Montcalm to realize that it was a venue made-in-heaven. If you’re like me, you can’t escape the excitement generated by the drums. To that end, you will be smitten with the wow factor. I’ve also asked artists to serve up something more—a little education so that you go home with answers to your questions. I have a strong feeling we’ve found a new, annual meeting place for the global drumming community. As much as it’s a homecoming for me, I want you to feel at-home as we pursue the primal passion for the drums. Thanks go out to our international sponsors, artists, our expert technical team and the Palais Montcalm staff. Without them, there’s no way I could have produced a festival of this magnitude and quality.
